Master (M.A., M.Sc.) Digital Media, others welcome! Workshop one week; 2 SWS, 4 or 6 CP

When the term "generative" appeared in contexts of aesthetics, art, and design (in 1965), it was because computers were now ready to generate images of aesthetic qualities that could be presented in art galleries, soon also in fine art museums. Now, more than fifty years later, nobody is surprised to see images of "algorithmic" origin being sold for crazy amounts of money. The workshop will take up the challenge of writing good and beautiful code (in Processing) for interesting artistic results. A short brush-up of Processing will be included.
